A note from the desk
About Nonolendar
Nonolendar is a free daily nonogram game that pairs picture puzzles with stories from this day in history. Play online, solve two puzzles, then open the illustrated story behind them.
How does Nonolendar work?
A nonogram is a picture logic puzzle: number clues tell you which cells to fill. In Nonolendar, each date opens a book with two color nonograms. Complete both to reveal a short story about something that happened on that date in history.
New to nonograms? Start with the nonogram rules and 5×5 tutorial, or play today's puzzles.
Can I play for free and revisit past puzzles?
Yes. Nonolendar is a personal, non-commercial project with no accounts, advertising, or paid features. Play in your browser on a computer or phone, with no download needed. You can revisit published past puzzles from the daily nonogram archive in the Index. Your progress is saved in your browser; it does not transfer between devices.
AI-assisted
Puzzles, stories, and illustrations are produced with AI-assisted tools. The stories are short introductions to historical events for puzzle entertainment, not authoritative historical scholarship. Text and illustrations may contain errors; corrections are welcome.
